Weekly Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) sessions center on deep mind-body healing rooted in ancestral knowledge and collective movement practices. Through expressive improvisation and relational dance, participants reclaim movement as an essential language of resistance and resilience beyond colonial systems of control. This trauma-informed space nurtures emotional release, reconnection, and cultural re-embodiment—honoring all bodies and all stories.
Sessions include:
Rhythm-based grounding and sensory awareness development
Movement improvisation inspired by diverse ancestral traditions
Mirroring practices that nurture group empathy and relational healing
Space for verbal and creative reflections to integrate and process experience
DMT here is a decolonial somatic practice reclaiming the body as a sacred vessel for healing, joy, and community restoration.
