Dance + Yoga

My journey in movement began in the womb.

The Dancer & Yogi

The only thing I ever wanted to do was to dance.

I always found deep solace in music and movement as a child.

Rhythm is my heartbeat, movement is my blood flow.

We are born unto the earth by our mother’s movements and we continue moving throughout our entire lifetimes.

Even the breath is movement.

Since then, I have studied several dance forms, including oriental, salsa, fusion, samba, tango, flamenco, neo fusion, vogueing, popping, Indian contemporary, experimental, hip hop, contemporary and ballet. I have also learned how to play the doumbek and finger cymbals.

In 2001, I began dancing and performing

I initially practiced Bikram, Hatha, and Vinyasa, then eventually began learning Yin and Ashtanga. In 2017, I became a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher in Mysore, India, and began teaching immediately after.
